Michelle Van DykeBiographyAs a former reporter for three major daily newspapers and a veteran public information officer, Michelle Van Dyke has been on both sides of plenty of horrid headlines. She has been a communicator for Hillsborough County government for 21 years, the past two-and-a-half as a one-person public relations, public information and marketing shop for the county’s Water Resource Services department. She’s also a member and former president of the Florida Government Communicators Association, an executive board member of Leadership Hillsborough, and a newly-elected board member for the national City-County Communications and Marketing Association. During her tenure with Water Resource Services, she’s dealt with hurricanes, major plant failures, employee arrests, large-scale boil water notices, sewage spills and a lengthy internal affairs investigation - all the while maintaining her sanity and a sense of humor. |
