Howard M. Maltz
Biography
Howard M. Maltz, is a Deputy General Counsel in charge of Tort Litigation.
Mr. Maltz previously served as Deputy General Counsel in charge of the General
Litigation Department and Assistant General Counsel in the Personal Injury and
Labor and Employment sections. Mr. Maltz also currently serves as legal advisor
to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Before joining the General Counsel's Office in 1997, Mr. Maltz was an Assistant
State Attorney, where he was a prosecutor whose assignments included being a
member of the Homicide/Major Crimes Division, Clay County Bureau Chief, Felony
Division Chief and Director of County Court.
Mr. Maltz's achievements while in law school included being a member of the
Order of the Coif, named to Who's Who in America's Law Schools, and was a
recipient of two American Jurisprudence Awards. Since practicing law, Mr. Maltz
has been a Barrister with the Chester Bedell American Inns of Court, received a
distinguished faculty award from the Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association
and authored EMS Documentation: A Legal Necessity to Avoid Liability Claims
appearing in Emergency Medical Service Magazine in October 2002. Mr. Maltz has
lectured throughout the State of Florida in a variety of litigation topics.
